“die daktiker“ are the longest-serving teachers„ cabaret in Germany. They have been performing since 1984 (initially as a men's trio under the name “August-Bebel-Combo„, later as “die drei daktiker"), and as a quartet since 1995. Until 1998, they performed on two tracks: In addition to the school cabaret, they also produced nine general political cabaret programmes.

In 1992, the first of nine programmes about the „Städtisches Adolphinum“ (Lippstadt) premiered. The continuing success prompted „die daktiker“ to concentrate entirely on their fictitious traditional grammar school on stage.

For more than 34 years (!!), the daktiker have been working on the cabaret stage in the evenings, bringing to life the funny and ludicrous things that enrich their professional lives during the day in grammar schools, comprehensive schools and special schools. What began as a colourful evening for fellow trainees has now become an integral part of schools and cabaret theatres in North Rhine-Westphalia.

With „One more to go“, the daktiker now present their personal favourites from eight programmes about the Städtisches Adolphinum. Colleagues Lass, Krick, Müller-Liebenstreit, colleague Lengowski and, of course, caretaker Maus once again pull out all the stops in their battle with the pitfalls of everyday school life and Düsseldorf's education bureaucracy. For three programmes, Dr. Aschobald Bass (Hermann-Josef Skutnik) tried in vain to guide the fortunes of the Städtisches Adolphinum („Colleagues Kaos‚ Class Struggles“, „Setzen..6!“, „Wunderbar, Dr. Bass“), then he took early retirement and had to watch as his acting successor Willi R. Laß (Andreas Boxhammer) had to struggle with the hardships of PISA („Oh www.@dolphinum.de“) and school inspections („Evaluator 4“).

But now it is the anniversary of the traditional grammar school, the municipal Adolphinum, and the official celebratory mood has been decreed: the anniversary ceremony has been scheduled, the top officials from the city and the ministry have been invited, the champagne is ready and chilled. The preparations have once again demanded top performance from the school staff. Even headmaster Dr Bass, who has long since taken early retirement, spent weeks working on his eagerly awaited (at least by himself) celebratory speech. Time to look back at the remarkable and memorable things that have happened at Städtisches Adolphinum in all these years of restless pedagogy. Current topics such as inclusion, G8/9 and the evaluation of individual support plans will also be covered. „die daktiker“ have also released several CDs with live recordings, including „ADOLPHINUM-ALL lNCLUSIVE“ (available at performances or by ordering via www.daktiker.de)

The net proceeds from the event will be donated in full to the One World Foundation and thus to the projects supported.
